Your recommendation already carries weight
Friends, colleagues, and clients already ask you for recommendations. Knowbull turns those trusted referrals into fair, transparent fees — no awkward money talk.
"Being rewarded for that knowledge would be amazing."
— Peter R, CIO"I'd happily pay a fee for that quality of candidate."

You've been giving this away
for free. We think you shouldn't.
When a friend, former boss, or client asks "know anyone good?", your answer already influences hiring decisions. The hard part isn't the recommendation — it's the awkward ask for payment afterwards. Knowbull handles that part so you don't have to.
No awkward fee conversations
We handle the ask, so you don't have to negotiate money with a friend.
No chasing payment
Fees are agreed upfront and paid through Stripe — no invoicing, no follow-ups.
No "beer if it works out"
Informal favours become proper transactions, with a record of your impact.
Your edge
Reach people no recruiter can
The best person for a role usually isn't on LinkedIn, isn't in any recruiter's database, and isn't "open to opportunities". They're quietly employed elsewhere — and the only reason they'd consider a move is because someone they trust asked them to.
Your boss asks if you know anyone. The person who'd be perfect is at another company — happy enough, not actively looking, invisible to every recruiter. But you've known them for years, and you can pick up the phone. That conversation is what Knowbull is built for.
Who it's for
You already know if this is you
You're the person leadership quietly asks when they need someone good.
You know people who'd be perfect for roles — but they'd never apply cold.
You've made informal introductions before, for free.
Knowbull isn't for recruiters. It isn't for job hunters. It's for the people who sit between them — the ones whose relationships actually matter.

Steven Gets Invited
Steven receives a personalised email. He clicks the secure link and submits his profile, skills, and CV.
Company X Agrees to Terms
The hiring manager reviews the fee and agrees to the terms. Hannah's Trust Score shows up on the record, though it's her relationship with the team that carries most of the weight here.

Steven Gets Hired
Company X hires Steven and rates the referral quality. Hannah's Trust Score updates — useful later when she's introducing candidates to employers who don't already know her.
Hannah Gets Paid
Company X pays $2,000 plus 2.95% via Stripe. After a 30-day hold, Hannah receives $1,800 (90%) to her bank.

FAQ
Common questions
You absolutely can — and most people do, for free. Knowbull is for when you'd like that introduction to be fairly compensated without the awkward conversation. We handle the fee, the payment, and the paperwork, so you never have to ask a friend or former colleague for money directly. Your recommendation becomes a proper transaction instead of a favour with an uncomfortable ask attached.
Honest answer: it's not only about the fee. Each Knowbull referral builds a quiet track record of intros you've made and how they worked out — which matters most later, when you're recommending someone to an employer who doesn't already know you personally. They're not just supporting one transaction; they're helping you build the reputation that makes future intros land in rooms where you don't yet have a relationship.
Free for referrers and candidates. We take 10% from successful referral payments only. Employers pay the agreed fee plus 2.95% transaction fee — only when they hire.
No. The trust people already place in you is what makes this work from day one. Trust Score is an optional signal (0-100) that builds over time from employer feedback — it mainly matters when you're introducing candidates to employers who don't know you personally yet. For existing relationships, your existing reputation is enough.
You choose when creating a recommendation. Consider the role seniority and your relationship. No fixed amount — we suggest $500-$5,000 NZD depending on the role.
Employer pays via Stripe when they hire. Payment is held 30 days, then you receive 90% directly to your bank via Stripe Connect.
No hire, no fee. The employer can still rate the quality of your intro, which adds to your Trust Score for future referrals to employers who don't already know you.
Payments via Stripe. Candidate details only shared after employer agrees to terms. All feedback tied to verified transactions.
